- * Small sweet onion chopped
- * 3 cloves of garlic mined
- * About 1 cup fresh carrots sliced
- * 2 tbsp (14g) real bacon bits
- * 2 tbsp tomato paste
- * 1 cup (128g) dry lentils rinsed
- * ½ tsp dried thyme
- * 5 cups chicken or vegetable broth (or a mixture of both)
- * Non-stick cooking spray
Mix the carrots and bacon.
Continue to cook the tomato paste. Toss and coat all vegetables with noodles.
Stir in lentils, broth and thyme.
Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally to make for cooking. Continue to simmer for about an hour.
Serve! Recipe makes five scales, as in the photo (2 scoops).
